Notes & Combos
"So, Dragon Link is legal in this event?"
For Legend Anthology, I wanted to play something different and fun, but that had a decent chance against Millennium (by far the most popular deck as you might be aware). This is what I've come up with. Please note that I've never played Rokkets or Dragon Link before, so I'm not sure how optimal the decklist is (it's just an event though, doesn't need to be perfect).
This deck has a lot of gas and it's very fun to play (plus it's somewhat cheap). Your main goal is to setup Borrelend Dragon + Borreload Savage Dragon on your first turn, which against Millennium is just an auto win (especially the loaner, which has zero outs when going second) - you just wait for the opponent to summon the Exodia Incarnate and then you negate it.
To achieve this, we need to do a lot of special summoning and link climbing, which the Rokkets (Rokket Tracer in particular), aided by cards like Absorouter, Noctovision, Quick Launch, Borrel Regenerator, Boot Sector Launch, Dillingerous, etc, are very good at doing.
In addition to all this, there's also a small Fusion package in there, accessible by Rapid Trigger (searchable by Double Disruptor Dragon) or Dark End Evaporation Dragon. It is not bad going first, but becomes especially useful when going second, since all the 3 fusions I'm playing have effects to destroy opponent's cards (now that I think about it, it would be funny to try out Dragon's Mirror in this deck...)
The biggest threats to this deck are cards like Ultimate Slayer or Santa Claws, which can deal with Borrelend and are unable to be negated with Borreload Savage. The loaners don't have those though. When going second, Heart of the Blue-Eyes is also extremely annoying, since it's GY effect outs any of our boss monsters.
There are more cards that you can potentially play in here to improve the power of the deck even more, such as Chaos Dragon Levianeer and the other Borrel Link monsters, but those are all URs that I didn't want to craft. I also wanted to try out more copies of Ultimate Slayer, but I only own one at the moment.
All in all, a very fun and somewhat underrated deck in the event, considering the power level of everything else that's available. I know most people disliked this event, but with some creativity you can definitely enjoy it.
Replays
I had some amazing duels, which you can check out in this video. Please note that I'm no expert at Rokkets or Dragon Link in general, so I apologize if my combos aren't perfect. Hope you enjoy it regardless!
