Notes & Combos
Where are the Ninjas? They wouldn't be good Ninjas if you could see them!! (same with no Maxx C, wanted to see if I could hit M1 without crutching on it since it gets negated 90% of the time anyway and I wanted to go a more breakers focused approach)
Master was REALLY hard this season, hand traps don't work against the top decks or just feel like a gamble. Board breakers don't work (I gave up on them when I evenly + dropleted a Yubel end board and still lost.... unchained stuff seriously needs hits). But then someone suggested my deck grow some ***** and I realized how good BALL is this meta. So I said **** it, we ball, and hit M1 in the same day. Board breakers take the guess work out of interupting your opponent. Going first, you just combo as usual. I think this is the way, at least till Yubel gets some hits. BTW, get good at that match up because it's legit like 95% of your matches in high master lol
THE DECK:
We're going for max toy box value here. Droplet and Diabel both abuse it nicely, as well as magician souls. Common play is to pop toy soldier somehow and then search neo space connector and then hand loop them twice while going into isolde. Having hand knowledge before isolde lets you set up counterplay to whatever they have in hand.
Toy Tank also lets you make an early Herald and then link it off to search ohime, and then revive it with tank, which feels really dirty. Selene is there to revive diabel that you pitched with Magician Souls. Bradamante is your core part of the snake eyes combo, you search it off of Snash and then use it on a warrior to get ha re out, and then start tributing equips with the snake eyes stuff. It also lets you make an early herald with ha re + bradamante, and you can revive bradamante with both Oak and Flamberge, so this deck has access to lots of tuners. Usually you make charles BEFORE Isolde if doing the snake eyes lines.
Isolde target is most often dawn knight to go into diviner, but if you already have mikanko / ohime access and a way to get a tuner, you can search toy soldier or sometimes morning star, although he's the least common, but he does come up sometimes.
BLS link was actually pretty useful, he helps get lethal on open boards and can banish problem back row, gets double attacks with gearblade, etc. Him and Selene are the flex spots for this deck though as they don't come up THAT often.
All in all, this deck is super fun to play with non-linear lines, but was also a bit of a challenge.
