Notes & Combos

Always ask if they have Ash Blossom, can you continue to play? Examples:

  • If your engine is only Big Welcome and Arianna (and you go first): Arianna should search for Welcome (for Lovely on the next turn) to ensure Big Welcome resolves. Lovely's secret effect prevents monsters (Ash) chain to Normal Trap (Big Welcome).

  • If your engine is Big Welcome, Arianna, and Lady: Search for Arias to play immediately. If there's no Ash Blossom, you can set any Trap. If they do have Ash Blossom, Lady combined with something like Infinite Impermanence can still follow up.

The deck is almost identical to the 2nd-place build from YCSJ Osaka 2024. I added Torbie for more ways to summon Chaos Angel. I like the Field Spell, though running 2 more hand traps probably be better in these slots. No Gamma or Pot of Prosperity because of the new banlist.

If you have Welcome and Big Welcome set:

  • Welcome usually ss Lovely. Don’t greedily ss Lady. You only need to survive. The Labrynth engine will generate plenty of card advantage later.
  • Set a hand trap in def, in case Welcome gets hit by Ash. Big Welcome can still bounce the set.
  • If they activate Harpie’s Feather Duster, no Ash, only activate Welcome and let Big Welcome go. You can then use its GY effect to disrupt.

Daruma can clear a Tenpai board during Main Phase 1 if they have a Field Spell and you have a face-up monster. Example:

  • You have Arianna on the field, they summon Paidra to search for the Field Spell, Field search Chundra, Chundra ss from hand. At Chundra resolution, activate Daruma to send their 2 Dragons to the GY. If you don’t do anything, they might Black Rose.

Aware of using Trap Trick as late as posible because of its lock.

The extra deck isn’t critical. If you're short on UR points, just run 1 Chaos Angel and 1 TY-PHON. The rest can be skipped.
