First things first. Is this the best way to play DragonLink? Absolutely not!
Would it be the best way to play DL without the RE cards? I'd definitely say so!
But that version isn't as cool as this one and doesn't give love to our Lord and Savior Red-Eyes Black Dragon!
So what does REDL do differently from normal DL? If we open our best starter, BMD, we'll utilize Romulus' secret effect to summon RE Soul to go into Flare for some burn damage. 16 activations until it's game over!
We also like to end on Verte if we have the resources. Our fusion card is the worst of the worst so the only way to make it viable is by using Verte (pls Konami make our Fusion card better before you ban Verte). Summon Slash with our vanilla and PK for a target negation and a searchable monster negate if you don't want to utilise Slash's second effect.
Why Centur-Ion? Centur-Ion plus any Bystial is full combo. Centur-Ion plus normal starter is great handtrap bait or super combo!

I'm a huge Red-Eyes fan but sadly the archetype is designed so ****** that this is one of the best ways to sorta play it. Yeah it's unnecessarily bricky, but hey if I can make it to Master with this deck, then surely without the extra RE cards you can make it as well and probably to M1 as well!
yeah red-eyes being designed as a ritual gemini fusion xyz burn zombie deck maybe wasn't a great idea from konami
Did you know we even have our own Link card? (Darkness metal). But I don't mind the fact that we have all the kinds of card types, it's just that non of them work well enough with each other or are just straight up ****. Like why the super hard restriction on RE fusion?! Why zombie synchro instead of just dragon Synchro? Why are a lot of cards not considered "Red-Eyes" and therefore unsearchable/useable with other cards?
No it does jack ****, but that's just to add salt to injury. Like nothing makes sense. Also not many know that RE has their own link since it's the least used ED card from the archetype so I was just curious
If you invest time and energy in them there are a few variants that can get into master for sure, but it's a struggle for sure. Other recommendations would be RE Kash or Adventure RE
